Sound reduction at the doghouse

Hi,

Working in a 2002 e350. What are you guys doing to reduce engine noise in the cab? What materials are working on the interior of the doghouse?

I've used a combo of neoprene and mass loaded vinyl in the "cargo" area, which is working great. Just not sure how to tackle the doghouse. Of course, I'm concerned about using a material that is ok with the high heat.

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

I took out the stock sound deadening & put in B Quiet extreme and the put the stock liner back in over it. Help a lot, but it helped even more when I did the floor. B Quiet is just like dyno mat but not as expensive & just as effective.

What kind of adhesive did you use for the B Quiet material?

For sure do the cab area and get up into the footwells. Neoprene and mlv will do great in the cab. But yeah, need the correct stuff in the doghouse. Stuff like MSD was talking about.

i may not do the doghouse as I won't be able to tell my V10 is running unless i look at the RPM's...

I've tried to start mine a couple of times when it was already running. Not ideal for long lived starter gears...

I don't think that'll be an issue with my 7.3. [emoji3]

This stuff is tremendous. I rode in Ledger's 7.3 diesel van before and after and the difference is amazing. Not cheap and not cheap.

2x on the Quietride... dollar for dollar some of the best money we've spent yet on the van.
