Quick question on this same subject as it comes up, goes away and gets thumbs up or down depending (like most things) but 2lb closed cell poly isocyanate foam (not the simple 1/2 lb open) that is used in houses seems like it should be ideal if applied properly. It absorbs no moisture and provides a complete air and vapour seal, sticks like glue to everything and expands to get in all the crannies and is R7 and inch so would keep you warm at thew same time as being a sound barrier. Has anyone done that?
