Tail light compatibility

I'm looking to upgrade my tail lights to LED and the ones I like say they only work up to model year 2012. Does anyone know if the wiring is different between a 2014 E250 and earlier models?
Second question... I think the look of these would fit my van but be honest, do they look ghetto??
I could not find a straight answer about the wiring when I searched so thought I would ask here.

It's all the same. It just plugs into the bulb socket.

Those are really good taillights. I have the chrome version, installed 2009 and 200,000+ miles ago, still work perfect and look new. No yellowing, and they hold up better to impacts than the OEM ones.

My one suggestion would be to add an nice LED backup bulb. I like the Philips one the best, because it throws the light towards the reflector.

I'd pass on the smoked version. Although it might actually look pretty good with your color.

Edit: I thought this lacked reflectors, but that's not correct. Thanks to Carringb for clarifying that they do in fact have reflectors!

Thanks for the info. Carrying, that's quite the setup you have! Do you know which Philips backup light you used? I'm out of town so can't check it myself. Ordering to have things to install when I get back.
Madscience, those lights have red around the backup light and also small red pieces on the sides. Assuming that is to make them legal. No?

They do have red reflex reflectors around the backup light, and are DOT compliant.

I've had my eye on the ruby versions of the IPCW taillights for quite some time now. Im just not sold they will look right on my setup. I have heard good things otherwise.

Haha no, the jacuzzi stays in the travel trailer. But guess it would work!

It's actually a collapsible palletized tote. It's the gear trunk when I don't want to do a big rafting trip without taking a trailer.
