Van is looking good, and those sliders are super cool. I'd rock a set...

Thanks guys. I'll see if my brother wants to fab up 4-5 sets and see how much he wants for them.
Would you mind getting a set unfinished with the option to powder coat or bed line them yourselves?
While the sliders can be unbolted, the mounting plates have to be welded to the frame and the e-brake cable brackets have to be relocated. You guys can handle that, right?
Shipping will increase the cost quite a bit but, if some of you guys live close enough a few sets could be shipped to one central location.

A long work trip burned about 2 weeks but I'm back at it and got a few more things done.
The floor and insulation were cut ever so precisely. I'm not anal, I'm German... We placed sound deadening material in all floor valleys then put in the 1/2" foam board insulation followed by 1/2" plywood and the seems are all staggered.

The walls are getting layers of insulation starting with reflectix, denim and will be covered in silverboard before wall panels are put into place. I'll likely put all plumbing and wiring behind the silverboard being there is still a cavity due to the van's wall curvature.
What opinions do you have regarding the placement of wiring and plumbing- is it a good idea to place it behind the wall panels?
I like the fact that it keeps everything super clean and will make for easier cabinet work.
Speaking of cabinets- can you guys provide some measurements on counter heights and depths?
I'm trying to get a feel for cabinet depth and resulting walk-through space as I plan my interior build.
And, what are typical gaucho / jacknife sofa heights?

Updates
Ok, a few more updates! Sand ladders are mounted. I cut a section out of the L track fittings, inserted a bolt with the head cut off and welded it in place. These fitting are removable and movable just like any fitting and now hold the aluminum sand ladders in place. I added "handles" to the nuts that overlap and can be padlocked. Secure and done.

After too many hours of camping out in my brother's driveway over 3 separate weekends Vantasi has a 30 gallon fresh water carrier with skid plate and a battery tray for 2 4D AGM batteries.
Like most guys here have done we cut out the stock spare tire carrier. But, in this case we also cut out the stock frame cross member so that we coud utilize the space as we needed it. Now there is a new cross member to which the water tank carrier is hinged on the back side and the battery tray bolts to from the front. Basically, we utilized all the space from behind the axle to right to the hitch.
More picture of the finished setup with battery tray to follow.
Things get funny when your mustached brother is under the van with you...

Looks good. Can you post a photo of where the batteries are mounted? What is your plan for freeze protection? I hear that MN gets chilly in the winter.

Nice rack! (insert anatomical joke).
I'll let others insert jokes about you two under the van playing Twister with that rack.
Good stuff
