What did you change too? Did you move up to 17in wheels? I hate my brakes..........

Another member here (keith Frank...has since sold his rig...) had his brakes done and mentioned this....they had to figure it out....

I then reverse engineered the Chevy P/N's from measuring my rotors and comparing them to Chevy Suburban/2500 rotor dims that I found on rockauto.com.

I have a dimensional drawing of the rotors on another computer (I hope! ....I had a laptop stolen last Dec)....I'll see if I can find it later.

Decided to tackle the door panels tonight, super easy since ford already made me a template. Made the panels out of 1/4" Birch Plywood and just put a coat of satin lacquer on them.

Thanks! They definitely look better than I thought I was capable of. I know this because I keep looking at them thinking, "dang that looks good". Ha ha normally I finish with stuff like that and think, "why didn't I pay someone".

Lets all take a step back... remember when I first posted here about my Advanced troubles and everyone here told me to ditch the whole front end and get a new one? Remember how I came back on and said guys, I really want to try to keep what I have and make it right?...

Ok maybe that was totally backwards, and while I appreciated everyone trying to help me save money. At this point in my build, I would rather be in debt ha ha.

Either way, because I have no money and my wife wants to eat every night here is what I have done so far to finally get this front end where it should have been from day one.

First was to look into the "track bar". After both MG and Carringb took a look at it and said id be better without it, I consulted the master of leaf sprung 4x4 vans and got the green light to take it off.

Why is he showing me this random rod and steering damper you ask? Because thats the Track Bar. The rod thats shorter than the steering damper. If for some reason you have a leaf sprung suspension and your track bar looks like this, REMOVE IT. It was like un clipping a birds wings. Just that alone changed the way it rode and I could feel the sigh of relief from all of the components as we cruised down the road. No more unstable feeling going around corners or crazy amounts of bump steer as I would hit pot holes. All was well again in this E350s life.

Next I decided that the reason my steering was giving me so many issues was because my Tie rod ends were worn out. After a ton of searching and trying to figure out where it came from (because advanced uses whatever and doesn't have a record to be able to tell me whats on my van) I had no luck. So Ujoint received a call.

To be continued...
