I had started off on a different forum but it's real slow moving and nobody was building anything similar so there wasn't much to relate too.
Seems I'be found a much more appropriate space here.
This is the whale, or at least this is what it was not so long ago.
Indeed!
First thing was first; we had to go try and break it...
A very nice spot right off Hwy 1 just north of Fort Bragg.
With only the first 30' of dirt road we found the bottom of the running boards and the propane tank made lots of noise when being drug on the ground. (Gently but we most certainly knew they where there)
So we ditched the running boards and moved the tank up about 7".
Then with a fist full of dollars we had Agile off road move the van up about a foot... and take care of that pesky traction problem the one legger was giving us.
Now it's getting interesting... with about a foot of wheel travel and some meaty tires it's starting to come together.
Lots, lots more to come. Batteries, solar, bumpers, interior goodies and seats.
Nice looking rig. What year is it? Does it have the dinette in the back?

Current van: 2002 Ford E350 extended body camper with Colorado Camper Van pop top and Agile Offroad 4WD conversion.
It's an 88, full camper with range, sink, toilet, shower, hot water heater, furnace, AC, microwave and genset.
This one have the foldout bench bed and the slide back top bunk. There's some Falcons running around that have a booth dinette and slide back bunk but I think those models didn't have the genset.
Betweeen the genset, water tanks and battery bank ours is pretty packed under the bench.
What are you doing with the running board holes?
Did you go 4x4 or just a lift? I have an '87 and am looking for a reputable shop to do a lift. El Cajon is a ways away from Central CA, but might be worth a couple days trip. How was the turnaround?
