I’d guess the door tolerance issue stems from the hinge. I don’t know what the Transit has for hinge adjustability. The E-series is easy. It might not even me a manufacturing issue. Slamming the door with something caught inside the hinge-side of the door can tweak things just enough to alter the door gap.

>"How do you like the 4x4 Bitbuger? I will surely have him raise the shock mounts and the intercooler does seem very exposed. I have the Flatline Van co rack and ladder on my list, I like how easily a Fiamma can be mounted and that the top rails can be moved wherever."

I suspect that 95% of my usual driving could be successfully done in a ford focus, that said, I went to Baja this fall and needed 4wd on a regular basis or I'd still be down there digging myself out.

I wish there was a bit more clearance and I am already thankful for the bashplate. It's expensive and adds weight and complexity but it was a good decision for me.

Note that Quadvan also installs Aluminess stuff and is aware of door fit issues so you may want to raise the conversation with him if it's still outstanding then. In general, John didn't seem pleased with the Transit door hinges.

Note that while I expected 2 weeks for my conversion, it ended up being a bit longer. If you are on a time schedule, you may want to let them know so they are aware of it.

Thanks for the info. I am not in a hurry for the conversion and it may only be the second 2020 he’s done so I’m planning on being patient. Hopefully it won’t take more than 2 months. I’d like it for spring!

We decided to order our locker and air compressor now to make sure we have it for the build. Things are crazy now with Covid delays, so we’re stocking up, so to speak.
We are doing the same on our Transit T350. I am still deciding on where to mount the ARB single compressor. I have not been able to find room under the front hood (yet). Where did you end up mounting yours?
Thanks
