Re: New to me QuadVan interior build out about to start.

I like the telescope idea!!

Quick video of how I prepare/wait for images to develop. Heat full blast with the window open in the truck camper slide out.

I came for the shot of the top sitting in the front yard... but alas didn't find any redneck art.

Van looking good though- a page back there are two shots of the Aluminess with the rare black watermark. You should consider turning that to follow the seam and putting it on the side in vinyl... it would look sharp almost exactly like it is.

Re: New to me QuadVan interior build out about to start.

Jage, much to my dismay it was moved to the backyard yesterday....I preferred it in the front yard and even threw a few beer bottles around it for good measure....

Some form of logo etc will be going on the van when done. Aluminess brought up doing an aluminum water jet logo and mounting it to the roof rack. Dave has a smaller one on his van and it looks great.

The watermark is a necessary evil of my line of work. Our images are stolen on a daily basis. Now I just have my export setting out of my photo editor auto watermark. Ruins the online appearance but our Fine Art buyers appreciate we are protecting their investment. Probably more info than you were looking for...

Working on the bike rack today. Hope to post an image soon....

Turn the old raised roof upside down, stick it on the front lawn, and put a "Boat For Sale" sign on it.

Not sure where to post this...tried a search and possibly missed it....

Wanting to siphon gas out of the tank. Bought a small siphon kit and the hose goes half way and stops. Is there a filter or theft stop in the tube possibly?

It's a 2006 with a TransferFlow Tank.

The T-F tank uses the Factory filler neck. I believe the anti-siphon screen is in that filler neck.

Re: New to me QuadVan interior build out about to start.

Mike, think I'll pull it apart in the morning and take a look.

Got our prelim interior build quote and specs today. Trying to sort it all out now.....

Took an hour off today and drove down to the bay to see if I could find where some noises were coming from in the van.

Took a few pics of the mountain bike rack we installed the other day (I say we but mostly my dad). Making some mods to the original design with bar placement and parts. Should be a much cleaner and sturdy design when done. Using aluminum standoffs from the photo biz to create risers for the racks. Couple more images of the winch and then a few sunset images while down there.

Re: New to me QuadVan interior build out about to start.

Success....kind of....

Since we purchased the van there has been a very annoying clicking/taping noise almost continuously. I have spent a lot of time trying to find the origin of this noise and have finally found it. QuadVan installed a sway bar disconnect on the van just before we picked it up. After eliminating many things (Including removing all the Aluminess parts from the back we found there to be a small amount of play at the disconnect. Used a GoPro all over the place underneath to narrow down where it was coming from. Quick video from today that finally led us in the right direction. Good times!!

Not sure how we are going to fix the issue with the product until we can get ahold of them. I think it's made by JKS manufacturing. Even though I don't have the fix I feel much more relaxed that I know what it is and if needed can just put the original parts back on.....
