Re: Very Unique Build "ORION"

Neet old camper! I would love to put one on my chassis.

Re: Very Unique Build "ORION"

Meet with my fabricators today things are progressing but not as fast as I would like. We needed to get some space under the dash so I have ordered a vintage air system to replace the chev ducting. Target added to drive out is January.

Re: Very Unique Build "ORION"

I have not posted any updates lately. Like everything on this build things are taking much longer than expected. We are currently finishing up the electrical, we had hoped not to change the harness, no such luck. We ended up extending it about 3 feet. This picture shows the custom dash with stock gadges, and vintage air controls. To do list includes, electrical, seat mounts (part 2), bumpers, air lines and compressor for suspension, final linkage for stealing and brakes. Hoping for the end of the mounth but I am an optimist.

Cool. A few months ago I was wondering what had happened on this build. Can't wait for some more pics.

Re: Very Unique Build "ORION"

I was also curious what became of this, having recently done a bit of work on a '67 Clark Cortez body/chassis made into an ambulance.

Hope your progress meets the time schedule!

Re: Very Unique Build "ORION"

You couldn't get Ryan to mount that on a 4x4?

Re: Very Unique Build "ORION"

Very Cool Setup we have similar tastes. My fiberglass obsession goes back a way. I built this truck and boler about 8 years ago. Sold the truck this summer but I will keep the boler until the Orion is done. The Orin continues to progress. I stopped by the shop yesterday, currently working on linkage: steering, brake and gas. Hope to have it home by Christmas but I am learning patients.
