Re: Window AC inside van and vented through floor

Close up of one of the two 4-inch PVC ports to vent hot air out. I leave caps on while driving and parked at home. Or when I know AC won't be needed.

This shows both outlet ports just behind AC. I meant to center them behind AC but design change after they had been cut on floor made them offset.

Re: Window AC inside van and vented through floor

A third port lets outside air into van next to AC so that conditioned air isn't wasted on condenser cooling.

A side view of AC mounted on one rectangular piece of plywood. Note louvers and angle on opposite side of AC. Total weight is probably less than 50 pounds, making it easy to remove if needed.

Re: Window AC inside van and vented through floor

I drilled a hole in pan and installed overflow tube that discharges to one of the air vents. This keeps AC from overflowing in humid weather.

A wider perspective of how air flow is separated. The electrical receptacle is behind AC. I didn't unplug AC for picture.

Looking straight down at typical port with plug removed. I used one inlet and two outlets. I only screw them on hand tight and they don't come off.

A couple of miscellaneous pictures. Hope the above is an indication of how I went about installing the AC inside the van so it can't be seen from outside.
