Re: 2009 Chevy Sportsmobile custom van FISHERMAN'S DREAM!

Welcome ManateeRV... I love some RV's!
HYPE!!!!!!... not so much.
Your van and it's description don't show a single element related to Fishing.

Take a little time to make your ads forum-ready, otherwise, you aren't doing yourself, or us, any good. Then you'll find this forum to be very helpful and can actually help you move veeks.

... you know, like that 22 mpg bullspit... not even a black-sock-wearing, mid-Florida retiree gets that mileage on the way to the bingo pahlah. yep. really.

Re: 2009 Chevy Sportsmobile custom van FISHERMAN'S DREAM!

Thanks for your critique. The van does have a custom built fishing pole rack in it, which I had meant to include in the listing. Thank you for pointing out the fact that I neglected to include that little tidbit.

As for the rest of the description, that is exactly what the owner of the van wants us to include in the listing. Those are the specifications that make the vehicle so useful for a professional fisherman who drove it all over the US to fishing tournaments. And the 22 mpg is based on actual mileage he recorded while using the van.

We don't lie or mislead anyone in our advertising. That's not what we're about.

PS.....if you take the time to go to the website and look at the other pictures, you'll be able to see the fishing related amenities.

(since this board requires pictures to be itty bitty, and we're busy selling RVs here at our lot, I don't have the time to convert all the pictures to teeny tiny size to post them on this forum!)

That seems like a lot for a van so sparse...

Re: 2009 Chevy Sportsmobile custom van FISHERMAN'S DREAM!

Looks clean and a nice build for what it is (sleeping, travel). For someone not acquainted with Sportsmobiles, the dealer should note that it has Starcool rear AC (from the looks of it in the pics) that will run on 12v or AC. It also has an inverter and presumably a coach battery or two to run AC when not plugged into shore power. Is there a frig hiding in there somewhere? Not that I can see, but possibly. Surprised the owner didn't include that in the build.

For the OP (dealer), it's cool to post here and we like to see what's out there, but don't be surprised by members critiquing the rig. That's just the way things work. As SMB geeks we like to dissect rigs and point out things that maybe newbies wouldn't notice.

Price does seem optimistic, I agree. KBB.com price for the van alone is ~14k (in excellent condition). Does the SMB conversion and top add $21k to the value? For the right buyer, maybe it does. I think it's optimistic though. But a lot of SMB prices are...
