Probably a consignment. Dealer has no incentive to sell until the consignment is nearing end. If you consign for 3 months it will take 3 months. Dealer doesn't have to pay the note or insurance so they can ask for the moon. When consignment is up , they get reasonable.

And what exactly does "4x4 ready" mean?

Could maybe just be an AWD version on the van.
