1993 e250 - need some advice

Hi all

I don't see anything about this one posted previously, but would love any advice. It looks to be in good shape and seems like a nice ride.

It's been listed on ebay a couple times.

The first time it did not meet the reserve:

The second time it was posted the bidding ended up lower than the first

Here are some higher res pics the seller sent me.

After looking at the details/pics and ebay situation, what do you guys think is a fair price for this? Any other comments about this particular SMB? Things you like/don't like etc.?

Thank you for any advice or thoughts you might have.

Re: 1993 e250 - need some advice

Hi,

The first thing that struck me odd was that he is selling it 4 weeks after buying it. Then I looked at his transactions on ebay and found other vehicles that he has sold, small time dealer perhaps. Given the fact that his reserve was not met at $7,000, he probably paid at least that for it. I generally do not vacation without my wife and certainly do not make large purchases without consulting her. His contact info said call him because he is a truck driver -so maybe his story checks out. He also mentioned that the engine and transmission were new/rebuilt. Something sounds a bit off to me, see if he can provide receipts for the engine and tranny work. If you are serious about it, I would recommend having a mechanical inspection done or purchase a Carfax at minimum. It looks in good shape other than the tires and slight body damage. The solar, batteries, led lighting and water heater are a plus. If it all checks out, I think $10K would be fair. Ebay is pretty good about fraud and misrepresentation and you can pay with a CC for added protection. Just my thoughts. Good luck.-Chris
