1995 4x4 SMB Low miles

Came across this one while trolling through Craigslist. Seems like a great deal for someone. Unbelievably low miles. No mention of what motor though. Not mine, just thought I'd share....

I have emailed them twice and have not heard back. I'm very interested in this van as well. Let me know if you get through to them and I'll do the same!

Thanks

I e-mailed too, no reply. So many CL sellers don't have the common courtesy just to response and say "sold" or "pending" or whatever.

He's probably been deluged with e-mails, though.

Only five hours from me on the Pennsylvania Turnpike... very tempting!

They responded to me that they would be available saturday and sunday to check it out, but didn't answer my question about the engine.

They responded today? Or you emailed them a few days ago?

I bet the engine is a 351, but I would like to know for sure.
The 460's had the dual tailpipes on one side like that, but not sure if the 351's did.

Just looked at the pictures one more time and if you look close at the dash pictures the fuel gauge says "unleaded". I emailed them today.

Re: 1995 4x4 SMB Low miles

Good eye. I had dual tail pipes on my 460. This van has a 460.

The shifter and boot looks like the one on my Quigley although the 4x4 conversion was done by Sportsmobile.

Squint some and the VIN is 1FDJE34G9SHB81789.

Hope this helps,
Ray

Re: 1995 4x4 SMB Low miles

I should clarify ..

I sent the seller an email yesterday afternoon and he/she responded very promptly. I only asked 3 questions ..

• Does it have a 460?
• Who did the 4x4 conversion?
• May I have the VIN number?

The answers were:

• Yes it has a 460.
• The conversion was done by Sportsmobile.
• He gave me the VIN which I already posted. (Which I decoded and confirms it has a 460.)

IMHO, I don't know about the 4x4 conversion. The seller says Sportsmobile but the shifter and shifter boot looks like what I have on my Quigley. The van also doesn't have any Quigley badges so maybe they were removed? Or maybe it really was done by Sportsmobile. Maybe the best way is for someone to see it firsthand.

Anyways, I hope this helps. Good Luck.
