1996 Dodge RB - West Coast - Simple/minimal interior - $9K

*** NOT mine / no affiliation ***

Pretty spartan interior layout, but that could be a plus.
Lots of extra room in there.

If this ad don't make ya want to quit your job and hit the road in a SMB, I don't know what will.
Great photos.

1996 Dodge Ram van with Sportsmobile camper conversion - $9000 (Vancouver (untilNov))

http://humboldt.craigslist.org/cto/4702541228.html

It's with a heavy heart that we're looking to sell our 1996 Dodge Ram van with Sportsmobile camper conversion. We're not the types who get attached to material things, but when you see this van and the places she's taken us, you'll understand why we're sad to see her go. Right now the van is located in Vancouver, BC, Canada but our plan is to head back towards California around Novemeber, however happy to sell anywhere along the way...

She sleeps 4 people comfortably in the heat and in the cold, so whether you want to pop the top for penthouse comfort or stealthily park on a city/residential street and sleep on the foldout couch, this van is the perfect 'home on wheels' for the intrepid soul.

Sportsmoblie features include car stereo with decent sound system and USB/auxiliary ports, central locking, electric windows, A/C which blows cold and a heater the blows warm (yes that's right!), curtains on all windows, captain swivel chairs, bar fridge, RV 'coach' battery, 6'3" of headspace with the pop-top, couch has 3 seatbelts and folds out to twin bed, pop-top with bed, plenty of storage (cupboards, doors, under couch), extra interior lights, awning and also has power hook up.

To get down to the nitty gritty, she has a solid V8 engine that is super reliable and runs cool and strong, getting you about 20mpg when highway cruising. The engine has done 115,000 miles which is pretty low for a vehicle that mainly rides the open roads. In addition to regular maintenance with records, the whole coolant system was replaced April 2014 and the entire front brake system was replaced August 2014. The tyres are in excellent condition and we also have winter tyres that are practically as good as new, as they were only used while we were at the snow, where we did minimal driving.

Body is in great condition however the back door (behind the spare wheel) has been knocked in a bit, door still functions no problem. There are also a couple of small areas of rust but nothing major.

Extras are Negotiable: REI pack-n-prep is the perfect portable kitchen for the nomadic foodie! All the cookware and utensils you need to cook up any meal that will be the envy of other campers! We also have camp chairs, camp shower, tent, surfboards, skateboard, GPS Tom Tom and probably a heap of other stuff if the right person comes along!

Looking back on the last 16 or so months, a montage of magical moments she's given us plays out in our minds. We want to pass it on to good folk who'll love this van as much as we do and will continue to take her on the adventures she loves!

If you are serious about the van please get in touch via email and we can go from there. . . As I mentioned we are currently in Canada but just putting the word out now so if anyone is interested we can make it happen.

Could easily add a third captain's chair inside the barn doors with that layout. Nice looking van. I'm not a big Dodge fan, but it's nice.
