No affiliation, but here is what appears to be the ransom note. If legit, this would be a screaming deal. If legitimate.

What an idiot crook. They used absolutely every dead-giveaway scam tactic known in one ad. It's like a textbook example of a scam so new scammers can learn the ropes. Can't these guys see how obvious they are being?

Sheesh.

Whaaat? Just because new tires would cost almost the full asking price? How could that be suspicious? A fixed hard top alone would be worth the $1500.

Nothing for two days at which time you'll get the classic 'military moved me out of the country story.' The van will be shipped right to your door. How convenient!

Wow, that IS convenient! LOL.

Duh, of course it's a scam. Except I saw the link, clicked on it, saw the photo, looked for the craigslist reply button, didn't find one, clicked the button that tells CL to tell the poster to add contact info, THEN emailed the person at the email in the pic.

Then I scrolled down in this thread...

Geez I can be sooo gullible sometimes! Does anybody else have anything too good to be true they want to sell me?
