1997 Ford E-350 Chateau 4x4 - $19900

Not a bad start at all, if you don't mind using a passenger van as a starting point.

No affiliation

----------------------------------------------
4X4 VAN - engine just had the total top end rebuilt ($8,000 expense) - less than 1,500 miles on rebuilt engine.

Best looking 4x4 window van around with some camper mod's, just like the Sportsmobile!

Features:
-4 wheel drive with locking hubs, 4x4 conversion professionally done by "Quad Vans" in Portland, Oregon
-It costs around $14,000 to install 4x4 system in a van today
-This van is the height of a stock 2 wheel drive van - it is not jacked up
-1997 Ford E-350 (1 ton)
-Beautiful stock green exterior color with lower grey panel
-Great looking grey interior in excellent condition
-Factory window van with head liner air and heat
-Aftermarket Radio
-46 gallon Transfer Flow gas tank
-Rear Heat and A/C
-Towing Brake Control
-Excellent condition
-V10 motor - recent total top end rebuild ($8,000 expense)
-2nd owner (I have owned the van since 2000)
-8 person seating with 8 seat belts
-2 captain chairs in front, 2 quick release captains chairs in 2nd row and quick removable bench seat in 3rd row (I also have the stock 3rd row Ford van bench seat)
-Bench seat converts to a queen bed (with memory foam) within a minute and it has a basement storage area
-Privacy glass
-Running Boards
-High end Toyo Open Country A/T tires in great condition
-Very well maintained

Great for family and adventure seeking individuals.
$19,900 OBO

$20k is steep for a van that old with a gas motor. $15k is top of the market for a simple 4x4 basic van. The value is basically in the 4x4. Bummer that he spent $8k on a top end when a remanned motor is $3500.

Does anyone know if the supports for the bed are factory? I'm looking to replace the fold out leg for my bench seat so I can make a drawer system.

I'm not sure how well that would support two adults since there is nothing in the middle.

Thats not factory. It actually looks like a regular bench seat that was modified to fold down. The rear most panel is most likely a separate panel.
