I tried to buy this van but the seller is extremely difficult to work with. He claims he is selling it for his grandfather and the van was never ever used to camp... (doesn't make sense, but ok).

Claimed there is no rust but if you look at some of the pictures, you'll see rust near the wheel wells and the 4x4 shifter. Might be reasonable surface rust but he never sent me the undercarriage photos when requested.

When I asked for more detail, he would get offended and kept saying it's a '20 year old van, my friend.'

I almost got a plane ticket to fly out there to buy it and to make it a fun road trip. I am not saying this is a scam but who knows.

Maybe it's a good deal for someone else but not for me just because of the seller himself.

Someone must have backed out. Still to expensive in my mind... but that's just me, not into the old school out of date interior and just can't see past it.

Sounds like a real difficult guy to deal with.

Pretty sure he's hiding a lot of issues by acting like he's clueless about sportsmobiles.

He is hoping a sucker will just pay in full, sight unseen.

My guess is that weird green he sprayed on the bottom half of the van is hiding a whole lot of rot !
