I think its a "Fair" price - can be considered "low mileage" but its still 20yrs old (granted it looks well kept in the Pic's). But, its RWD. If you wanted to convert to 4x4 you'd fork out $20K...that's basically $55K combined (when you also factor in wheels/tires/etc) - essentially in the ball park for a 2001 4x4...in retrospect, possibly a $10K discount with the prices I've been seeing these days.

I think it’s a fair to good price, especially with a new trans and other maintenance done. Also basically one owner/family by the sounds of it. Somewhat rare high top, the desired EB-50 layout, looks clean inside. I’m surprised it hasn’t sold, especially in today’s market. I see much rougher vans being listed for similar prices.

Thanks for providing your opinion Brian. I reached out to owner with transmission question, I am not a mechanic so his answer didnt quite make sense to me, I can only assume this was a partial rebuild.
Here is what he said:
The transmission was working great but there was a plate inside when it got hot it bent and released some oil out so instead of just replacing the plate I had them do a complete rebuilt so it came with a full 1 year warranty. Total repair cost was $1800.

It is older. However, 89,000 miles is a big bonus. Better then average condition. A 2001 gas van these days (vanlife) is prolly $7,500 That top is worth $7,500 if you wanted to add one to a van today. The interior could easily be $20,000 if you paid someone to create it. Maintenance recently spent (tranny, electrical & etc) is another few grand. Granted it has been used but it has sat more than it has been used.
The fact that it is already built out and ready for you to go camping in it next week...priceless. That van was probably $65k new (at least). With the vanlife craze older clean vans like this are holding their value very well. I think people on here get lost on the lack of 4WD. I say that is a very reasonable price!

85,000 seems early for a transmission rebuild. There's a story there. I almost wonder if they had a cooler hose fail and then a shady mechanic took them for a ride. Most people expect a four-figure bill for any kind of transmission problem.
