Did you ever get a response from the "seller"?

Some good sleuthing going on here.

I must be a where they get your deposit money and disappear?
I really have no Idea, Ive been lucky I think and have never been scammed and.
I do pass at the the first sign of anything weird.
Like in your post. How you spelled "selling" and missing Caps and spaces.
If you weren't on this site I would not have replied to you.
Which is funny in a way because I truly suck at spelling I'm a numbers guy.

I think they are successful by gambling on the numbers. 100 people are interested in their too-good-to-be-true ad and if just one pursues it and they get their money they are successful. Plus, they all use Paypal and have some way of filing a claim with Paypal that is somehow foolproof, or perhaps foolproof often enough.

It seems like the Western Union (Ethiopian scams) are mostly gone. It's mostly this same Paypal thing. Easy giveaways are no phone number, email response only and most certainly the email or phone number added to the picture vs. in the ad. Almost always one or two pictures and almost always a more desirable than run-of-the-mill item, such as a Sportsmobile or Chinook. I don't swap motorcycles or other toys much anymore but I bet they're huge there as well in urban areas.

Also, I just told a friend this who is trying to SELL and dealing with scammers. Careful how you respond to them when you want to say 'go F*** yourself because they'll flag YOUR ad.

I've inquired about ads like this and gotten no response too. I think they wait until they get a "big one" on the line...someone from out of state for instance, that are an easy mark . Usually they want a deposit to hold it, sometimes as little as $100, figuring nobody will do anything to pursue a small amount of money stolen.

$100 is a months salary for a scammer in a Nigerian internet cafe.

There is another one on eBay it's a white SMB with a high top and a big green strip.
I found it on Craig's list 1weekago. I called and talked to the guy he said he was selling it for a dealership out of TN, he was in Baton Rouge La. and would or couldn't tell me what town in TN. I hung up.
It is now on eBay from Vermont. This Vermont guy is the owner as far as I can tell. It is plated in Vermont and the car fax shows that. I told him about the other ad he was shocked.. I gave him that guys phone number.
