Re: 2005 Chinook 4X4 with 6000 miles!
Is there much of a difference between the Chinook Baja and Chinook Concourse?

That one looks pretty nice, but I've seen plenty of newer Concourses with better paint that you could convert for around $25k.

This is a Glacier. They are around 24-25' and on the E-450 chassis. I believe they all have a slide out on the driver's side just behind the driver. Typical layout is (starting at driver's seat and going back) couch in the slide out, then bathroom/shower. Kitchen in the rear and toward the passenger side, then forward of that either a dinette, or two club chairs with a pull out mini table, and then the coach door. Then the passenger seat.
The Concourse/Premier is 21' and on the E-350 chassis, with a rear door (and no slide out). This is the "classic" type Chinook that is more like a slightly overgrown van.
I'm not super familiar with the Glacier, but it was a later addition to the Chinook line-up. You can find a fair number for sale, typically in the 50-60k range (this is the only 4WD one I have noticed though). I think the "lower model" (equivalent to the Premier vs. the Concourse) was the Cascade.

But that add says it's a 4x4...

Re: 2005 Chinook 4X4 with 6000 miles!
Zuma, that one's been converted. They never made a 4x4 Concourse. The 4x4 Concourse they made is the Baja, very similar to a Concourse but upfitted significantly including the 4x4 conversion. There was not a Concourse made that came 4x4 from the factory, that I have ever seen or heard of. There are several converted ones around. A newer, really sweet one was advertised here in the Denver area within the last year. It sold very quickly.

Wait.....Eric.....what do you mean "here in the Denver area". Are you in town enjoying all this nice fresh snow.....we drove down from Steamboat last night, 70 was a nightmare!!! 2WD cars were all over the place on Floyd hill trying to get up, backing traffic for hours, what don't they get? You can't drive up an icy snow covered hill without 4WD!
Anyway, back to this thread.....I want one of these, thinking it may be our next rig....can do aftermarket 4X4 and add on all the goodies, we would also need to have at least one other forward facing seat for the big (little) man and a bed for him too. I wonder if Derek could throw on one of his tops! That would be cool.....

Re: 2005 Chinook 4X4 with 6000 miles!
I went and looked at this one a couple of weeks ago...its very nice! Quadvan did the conversion for Chinook when new. My concern on the coach is the low mileage/lack of use?? It drives nice, in fact it drove better than other 2 wheel drive Chinook Glaciers I have driven, no oil leaks or anything like that.

Oops, that was a mistype Rick. I'm most definitely in ice-covered Tennessee at the moment. We haven't been out your way since last summer, and then we barely stopped since we were B-lining it towards the west coast. There in the Denver area! Perhaps it was wishful thinking. I'd rather be out there in snow than over here in ice. We've got a half inch pure ice right now and pretty much has everything shut down, but it was nice to drive the van to work last night!
Rob, That's a really sweet Chinook BTW.

Well that is not a Twin-Traction Beam, it is a Dana 60.
