2005 Traverse

Looks like a pretty nice van at what appears to be a pretty decent price considering all the Aluminess stuff and fresh 4x4 conversion. I'm guessing it's a Quadvan but the ad doesn't say.

Doesn't seem to be a bad price, but the ad could use some help

- who did the 4x4 conversion?

- show a picture with the top up (its one of the major selling points, duh)

- front bumper does not appear to be Aluminess as claimed

- show more than one pic that just barely shows the sink, stove and fridge (its one of the major selling points)

- front bumper has a different front license plate than the rear (taken at different times, maybe?)

- no mention of the engine other than to say it's gas

- a number of panels/access points on the drivers side that I can't figure out what they are (a small one where there is frequently a propane access door, one 'underneath' the ladder, one behind the rear wheel)

- on the plus side, it has both a front and rear wench

The front bumper isn’t Aluminess and I’m not certain the back one is either. That along with the side steps has me thinking that some work may have been done somewhere south of here. Could still be a good rig buy, but something to inquire about should anyone be interested.

Assuming it’s the same as my Traverse, access doors on drivers side are, from rear to front: shore power cable and cable TV cable (PW hardwires the electric cable and it stores inside the van); water fill; and sewer hose storage. Propane is on passenger side under the barn doors.

I believe someone's building these Vans in the San Diego area. I saved pictures from ebay because of the modified F250 fender flares. A similar non Traverse (navy blue) van was on ebay before Christmas. They all have the same flares, bumpers and nerf bars.

Good eyes on the bumpers and steps... Seller says 4x4 conversion was done in Baja but not any more specific. It's sitting at a transmission shop in Bend after having the tranny rebuilt. Owner is in Cali.

I just sent the seller an email pointing out some problems. It would go a lot better for them if they'd list it as a Pleasure Way Traverse, which it clearly is, and not a 4x4 Ford camper van.

Still, mid $50's???? Another #vanlife dreamer.
