2010 Sportsmobile - Diesel EB350

Not mine and not affiliated whatsoever. Exactly what I'm looking for however with current exchange rate it's way over budget given that it still requires a RHD conversion. Plus I need to own it overseas for 1yr before importing it downunder. 6lt may not even be bulletproofed

Nice rig, but you might be better off buying a bare van, importing it, converting it to RHD, and then doing a camper conversion. It would probably make for an easier camper conversion with less in the way.

Then again, Sheriffdoug (member here) did more or less what you're planning. Have you compared notes with him?

I would rather have someone local(ish) that I could deal with if there are any issues. The support you will get from a North American outfitter is going to be limited, I agree that a barebones would likely be a better candidate for import. Perhaps look into a 4x4 conversion before importing but I would do the camper conversion locally.

I've a 2006 in mind and was planning on being over there soon before this current crisis and plunging $AUD. I'd arranged a full mechanical inspection by a reputable diesel business beforehand. I prefer the 2008 and later grill and dash and yes I've spoken to Doug down here in the interim. I'll just have to weather the storm for the time being until borders etc reopen. I've a long term visa however I'm unable to leave my home state or travel. Hopefully someone over there might be in the market, it's also listed on FB (Sportsmobile owners group).
