'97 SMB Quigley RB50.....and it's a...DODGE?

***not mine/no affiliation***

Seller states these are pretty rare.
I've sure never seen one. Love the proportion and silhouette of these '94-'97 Dodge B-series vans (before they redesigned the nose and slanted 'em back a bit in '98.)

With 101,000 miles, is this ambitiously priced at a $42k buy-it-now? Or is this truly where widespread van fever has taken prices....?

(I like the question posed on Jalopnik.com quite often when they feature an interesting/quirky car for sale that they've found a listing for:
"Nice Price....or Crack Pipe?")

eBay listing:
1997 Dodge B3500 | eBay

Description:
"Here it is, a real Quigley / Sportsmobile, one of only few late model Dodge Sportsmobile in North America ( last year they converted Dodges ) Its always been very well mantained everything workswell andb the Magum 5.9 SPFI V-8 purrs & canvas & top / windows & screens close to new condtion lots of upgrades drives great on all roads. I have full doucumention from factory & 1st owner contact Mark for Info real verified wired funds only( no dreamers !"

So, he's listing a camper for $42k on Ebay with THREE pictures and he has a 0 feedback rating? It's a neat van but, um...........no dreamers? I guess because he's doing all the dreaming.

Wonder what parts they used for the 4x4 conversion? Didn't know they did Dodges.

Pathfinder and Champion used to do Dodge Van 4x4 conversions back in the 1970's....wasn't it all done with retrofitted Dodge Ram Pickup 4x4 parts?

I'm guessing that Quigley would do the same with a more modern B-van, just use Ram truck drivetrain components.*

(*With proprietary Quigley "secret sauce" binding everything together, of course)

Quigley won't work on any van that is not very close to new.

Wait....what? They don't like installing all-new suspensions and drivetrain underneath 19-year-old rusty vans?

Heh, seriously though....if it needs clarifying, I was speaking to poptopper's musings about what components Quigely & Co. would have utilized when building their 4WD 1997 B-vans back in 1997.
