Re: Bona Fide Chinook Baja!

My older brother bought one and regretted it. Good for snowy highway but he feared it would shake apart on dirt roads he sold for a big loss last year. Maybe this is it and the new owner figured out the same thing. If it's the same rig then the price can be negotiated quite a bit.

It wouldn't be hard to make it handle well and more off-road capable. Kinda cool; too wide for the places we go but perfect for a traveling family.

That is the very same Jamboree my brother sold a while ago. He was shocked when I told him the price. If that guy gets anywhere near asking price then he will have really scored.

And don't act like SMBs don't fall apart offroad- they slap screws in pressboard without any glue- I've put so many screws back I've lost count. The trick is: go faster on the washboard. Around 80mph* everything equals out and suddenly it's smooth as butter, your teeth no longer feel like they're coming out of your head, and while Jeffrey will still leave you behind, the only screws you'll lose are the ones that were already half way out.
