Thanks SP. Yeah I've seen a few different models. You never know about Gov issue stuff. Maybe find some nice old style equipment maybe even a large set of field glasses.

Besides I'm always interested in optics...

I think that funny looking apparatus in the floor to the left of the office chair may be the base to the periscope and there's a hatch that opens in the roof. If you look at the pic of the driver's seat from driver's door it says to check for 'scope down' before moving vehicle.

Also, I like the big no smoking sign. That's funny. Hard to imagine the sleuths not chain smoking on stake-outs after all the spy movies I've seen.

I saw this van on a government auction site a while back. In order to purchase the van, you had to have some government affiliation. They wouldn't sell it to civilians.
