Found 2008 Quigley 4x4 Chevy 3500 needs engine $4k

Could be a decent pickup for somebody willing to put in some work... 2008 Chevy 3500 w/ quigley 4x4 conversion. 240k miles, apparently the current engine is shot. Located in Portland.

I haven't looked in to the price of the chevy crate motors, but I have to imagine you could find a low mile used one and have it installed for around $5k? Who knows how the rest of the vehicle is.... but could be a decent way to get a 4x4.

There’s a place here in SoCal that will put a reman engine in that thing for $4k with a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty.

If it were closer, I’d pull the trigger.

One thing in California when buying an out of state vehicle (smog Nazis) is that all the original California compliant smog stuff has to be in place and inspected before it can be registered in California.

I once bought a Colorado licensed 4wd Blazer for a really good price. I went to the junk yard and found all the required air pumps, etc. and installed them. The registration and inspection went easily enough after that.
