FS: 1974 VW SMB Automatic
Hi;
Somewhere around here is a posting talking about a 74 VW Sporty that someone just found in great shape from the original owner in Michigan.
I can't find it or I would post this with it.

Re: FS: 1974 VW SMB Automatic
Rare does not imply desirable.
That thing gives new meaning to the term 'Rough'.

For Sale: ZENITH SYSTEM 3 27" TV.
I bought this new in 1980, with the push button channels and individual channel fine tuning it was state of the art then.
Works great, collectors item. $350.00 firm.
Serious inquires only, I will not return spam emails asking if still for sale. Just email me your phone number and I will call you.

Re: FS: 1974 VW SMB Automatic
Somewhere on all them pushbutton channels you can get a striped primary color pattern, sorta like a rainbow. It'd go nicely with the unicorn rag under the TV... yeah, I know, those stripe patterns are vertical, but it'd look correct if you are laying on the floor by the bong

Re: FS: 1974 VW SMB Automatic
Golly, I know I have an eight-track stereo lying around somewhere among the junk in my garage. I didn't know it might be worth hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars. Perhaps I ought to put my old wide neckties for sale on ebay. There could be a gold mine in my closet.
P.S.: "This is a rare automatic transmission and the motor turns by hand." What is a motor that turns by hand?

I think a "motor that turns by hand" means the van "will not start/does not run?

Re: FS: 1974 VW SMB Automatic
I probably means the battery is long dead. And to turn the engine over, you must do it by hand. Which is actually a good sign. It means the engine is not frozen.
Sometimes, when an engine sits (especially outside), moisture gets in and rusts the rings to the cylinders, resulting in a 'frozen' engine -i.e. won't turn over by hand.
