I was half expecting the coast guard sent someone down who knows how to drive, send dumbo up while he simply get's in the truck to drive it back real quick. Anyways, I sure hope buddy got a bill for that extraction and knows to always wear a PFD when driving in the future. :~D

How soon before that same idiot sues the City, County, and/or Coast Guard for "letting" him drive his vehicle out there, or for not rescuing his vehicle?

I guess stupidity is a legitimate excuse.

Thats what I was thinking! "Sir, don't worry, everything is gonna be ok, we are here to save your vehicle."

Was anyone else on the edge of their seat watching this waiting for the truck to just get washed away? What a rush.

I thought I was going to see the back up lights at about 33 seconds of the video with a rapid reversal of direction. Wow! Talk about a pucker factor!

Anyone see the "Killing a Toyota" tests on Top Gear?
at about a1:30 it starts looking familiar.

There is a reason they mounted that thing in their studio!
Toyota Tuff!

^^^ loved that! had that body style yota for 18 years. was a great truck.

upon watching that vid a little closer. not that it matters, but its actually a Nissan hardbody and it almost looks like he busted a tie rod end or something and loses the ability to steer.

Wow, mind-blowing stupidity. Even if he did lose the ability to steer at some point, he had plenty time before that to back up. Crazy.

You have to feel somewhat bad for the guy, not only is his truck probably totaled, he knows he lost out on a Darwin Award.
