Hi All,
Thanks again for your wise advices.
I went to check the Van. Here below are my first impressions and "concerns"
The van is e150 4.6l 122,000 miles 2000 GTRV Conversion.
Interior is in a really good shape for its age. Blue, grey.
Has a fridge, microwave, propane stove, heater and AC
5 seaters and 4 sleepers
The fabric of the top roof can be changed and the vinyl in the wall does not stitch everywhere. Same with the ceiling of the driver. but nothing crazy.
It smells like a sailing boat:-)
The van starts smoothly, break well.
I have all record since 2013. (not sure the number of owners). The last persons were 2 old ladies.
The last control is dated of september and they did the oil change and filter change.
In 2017, they have changed
- the engine control module (78-8491F),
- the note mentioned that they replaced the PCM
- the switch is sticky
- they had a code P0443 - Evap System Purge Control fault
- did a brake fluid flush
Total cost in 2017 = 1k
As i said, really good looking for 18 years and kind of old school.
My concerns are more below the van. We have lifted the van and I think there is quite a lot of rust, no holes. The guy told me that is superficial and not a big issue but I really want your view on this. Is that a big issue and how much should I plan to budget.
