Holy Grail

No affiliation but I have to say that Tim has upped his game. His 4x4 conversions are legit now. Someone on this forum should buy this…

20K 7.3 4x4 Ambo, my only concern would be idle hours which they had no meter for… But about as low a mile 7.3 as they come.

That is awesome. And tempting. Might have to check that out if it's still there when I get back in a few weeks.

That thing is solid. If you can live with no walk in side door it's a really sweet find. Did I miss the price somewhere?

I'm curious what's up with bringing the exhaust all the way around the tank under the rear like that?

Price is $39,995 which I think is on the high side, at least for me cause of the changes I'd want to make... Like single rear axel, add a side door on drivers or flop the window and put a door on passenger side (if at all possible) and interior build out.

Not sure on exhaust, think it's stock?? I'm tempted to drive down and take a look but my work schedule probably won't allow it in the next few days at least.

Save yourself $20k and get this one....Has a side door, but dually rear wheels.

I agree that a SRW and passenger side door would be changes I would like to make too in order to make it a little more usable for my purposes. Other than that though, it's a blank slate.

My guess on the exhaust is that they rerouted so that it's not dumping on the curbside during extended idling? The desc states they bought it from the Red Cross and it looks more like a mobile office or blood donation type of vehicle than it does regular ambulance.

In all reality if I do an Ambo I'm pretty set on a 7.3L Canadian narrow body, not the big box ambo's we have here… I just got really excited about DF rig since I've been doing some Ambo research… But that is an awesome set up for$19,500.00

Wow. another nice find! Apparently he knows what he has. $20k is a LOT for a used ambulance, 4x and 7.3 or not. If he'd take 15 for that it might be a deal for someone if it doesn't have a million miles/hours on the engine.

What is worst case on the 7.3 that had high idle time?? New EGR??

The more I see Ambulance builds, the more I like em. Be fun to put a hinged Pop Top bunk on it and with the dually, weight becomes less of an issue. All those cool storage compartments too.

No EGR on a 7.3L
