Holy grail: smb top, 7.3, quigley van
Found this on eBay. Didn’t come up in my searches because it has basically no description. But there is a LOT to like.
85k Miles

There is a lot to like with this van but I would not consider it the Holy Grail. The Holy Grail would be a 2003 SMB eb50 7.3 with the SMB 4x4 conversion. That being said this is a nice low mile 7.3 that looks pretty damn clean.

I totally agree. This isn’t for me as I’m not in love with diesel. But many would like the set up as a base to start. Interested to see what it goes for.

34 bids and $23K, reserve not met... So what IS a fair price for that van in this market? $50k?

It's basically a 7.3, Quigley with a poptop. Without a full build, I don't think it wont pull $50k. My guess is $35k.

I wish the reserve was met now. Then maybe I’d be in the running. The premium the 7.3 commands doesn’t seem worth it in my opinion. Lots of vans seem to get $5-10k more for the 7.3. That’s an engine replacement on a gasser.

If that ends up being a real transaction, the buyer got a damn good deal.

I was the high bidder at 23.6k. Great deal at 25 but not what I’m looking for. I wish I needed a passenger van!

Question is, will it pass inspection as problem free?
