Weight I honestly don't know yet. I will weigh one of the 3 I'm building now and let every one know. But surprisingly I can install one with out the tire gate on, by my self. I expected them to be much heavier than they are.
I'm looking into different latching mechanism. Currently it's a lever latch. They hold incredibly well. But mount to the top of the bumper. After poking around on this awesome forum I see why these bumpers are used for storage. So I'm trying to find a better method.
I am building 4 sets of steps/nerf bars now. I will post pictures tomorrow before I send them to powder coat.
Clarify rock sliders for me? Typically I use heavy wall rectangular tube steel under the body with round tube for the outside protection. Would there be interst in these but with a step built in? Rock sliders are high clearance and don't usually hang like a step would.
My jeep guys come down on them a lot. Do van people get crazy in the rocks too?
Most van guys don't rock crawl. But that said I wouldn't be opposed to having sliders to protect my rockers in case I do something stupid (more because I'm a novice 4x4'r so to speak).

You could still have them latch to the top and have the storage compartment open from the backside similar to what Boy wonder just made. It would be easier to get into without opening the swing arms and could hinge.

I'd like to see somebody come out with a full length slider that has steps that fold down (similar to hoop steps) for ease of getting in and out of the van at camp.

Hello everyone I really appreciate everybody's interest. Especially the man who posted my original ad. Interest has been overwhelming! Currently I have five rear bumpers and three front newer style, and two older style being cut and bent.
This forum and all of you guys are awesome!
I was able to work a deal on Powder Coating for offering my steps with Rhino Lining or powder coat(both black) They will be priced at $599 with all hardware, plus shipping. But i told a few memeber and id commit to $450 with black podercoat. Ill honor that plus shipping for the next few days then I need to move my fixture to the new shop. I will post photos tomorrow of one pair and installed but uncoated. Then this batch is off for Powder Coating. I have 3 more sets bent and ready to assemble. No more will be available until January when my new workshop is up an running.
Again I really appreciate everybody's input and interest. I hadn't thought to share my info on a forum so I owe a great debt to neatvan
