High tops aren't really that stealth, plus I'd rather have screened windows than secrecy any day.

Also, that fridge will pop right open in the forward configuration.

Re: Kinda nice...

Thanks for remembering me Jacko !!

My wife is completely against a porta potti and there is no changing that... "If we get an RV - it's got to have a bathroom."

So... Plan B. Another vehicle that I've admired since the first time I saw one.

Remember when I threatened to join y'all at one of the meets - with something yellow ??

1973 GMC Motorhome. 23 feet. Completely self contained. 455 cubic inches. Front wheel drive. The air conditioning shroud is in an Arizona desert somewhere between Phoenix and Tucson.

There's an unbelievable support community for these things and the available upgrades are endless. I still plan to surprise y'all and show up one of these times...

Thanks again, see ya,
Steve W

Hey! I just got rid of my GMC to join this august group of van men. Loved the GMC. (Mine had the 403 and was a 26'er.)

I still have in the barn a set of overhead cabinets -- free for your taking if you want them.

Re: Kinda nice...

That's really cool, I've always liked those. Unusual being FWD and all.
Howbout some interior pics? Start a new thread if you can so others can check it out!

Re: Kinda nice...

Aren't those GMC's the basis for the Urban Assault Vehicle in the movie Stripes?
