New Promaster Sportsmobile from the factory

Inventory Details - Sportsmobile Custom Camper Vans

Pretty good deal as far as new ones go. The bed runs sideways, or parallel to the axles. I wonder how tall of a person could sleep on this?

Love your username...LOL

Agreed...good value! I think this was in their showroom since it was built in 2014. SMB was experimenting with lots of different platforms then (Transit, Nissan NV, Promaster, etc) anticipating the demise of the E Series. Looks like the Sprinter won out over the others.

The transverse bed should be exactly 73" long. That's 6' 1". Side sleepers usually curl up a little bit, so are shorter than full height. When someone stretches out full length, however, the feet pirouette out a bit so the body is longer than standing straight and tall.

If you set the bed rails slightly higher so that the mattress were inside of the window bumpouts. You can't get enough length for a 6'5" human.

I am definitely "pro" Sportsmobile; however, I think it has been sitting for so long b/c of the amount of competition on the ProMaster chassis including the Roadtrek Zion, Winnebago Travato, etc that offer at least the same features if not more for the low 70's and even gently used for the 50's and 60's.
