But I'm not in the market, and ultimately the market decides. I think there is value to cherry Econolines which this one no doubt is. I also think there is value to the 7.3, but in my mind the market has gone insane over these things. Let's take a comparable substitute, the exact same van with a V10, close in power and torque, and use it in this example. would it go for 64k? Not a chance, probably more like 33k.

None of my opinion matters though, the market decides and people are crazy for low mileage 7.3l Econolines. I wish the seller luck, but I think he's a bit optomistic.

So this would be a 'comparable' so to speak

I don't think that would sell for $33k. It looks hammered. I would be surprised if they got over $23k for it.

The blue one definitely looks a lot nicer, but I don't think they will get over $30k for it.

If you want to spend $30k, someone posted a 77k mile 7.3 E350 with a SMB pop top installed and a Quigley conversion. It looks clean and would be a better buy than the white one. http://tampa.craigslist.org/psc/cto/5743993327.html

I thought about hunting for a Diesel and my question of how long has one spent in storage kept coming to mind. I'd rather have a good diesel mechanic lined up first, but that's just me. (I've actually learned of two reputable shops in my area since)
So I had the same question when I looked at this posting (2003 7.3) the other day, not very many miles for an 03/ good in theory- ok for diesel? Is there an acceptable timeframe one could be in storage?

I know I know 'it all depends' but What might an expected BUDGET COST be for mobilization of a used 7.3?
