Guess it was broken in to or stolen at one point. Still could be a deal if it's legit.
I don't think your guess is accurate. The ignition key cylinder is a common failure on Econoline vans. They get worn out easily. Easy replacement and the new key with that cylinder makes it so that the door key is still original. So two keys are needed.

To say Swiss cheese, is an insult to Swiss cheese. Time for a hard-top.

He took the ad down so either someone convinced him to sell it or he's gonna spend money and ask for more… Wish I would have been able to convince him to sell it to me If it did sell hope someone on here got it.

I'd say that van is worth the value of the top itself, and not much more.

MSD I have his number he will sell it as is for $3500 before Wednesday morning. That's more rust then I want to deal with. He also gave a repaired price that I still think is a steel but only if repaired right.

PM me your number and we can talk

Ouch. That's the worst I've ever seen.

Eh, could go either way. I ran two keys after a theft attempt.

He still have it and he is going to fix it, if you ask me I would sell the pop up and put fiberglass top on it that would be easiest solution I think.
