Wow yeah that is some wishful thinking getting $40k. I'd guess it's value is more about $30k. GTRV's Westy build conversion is about $27k with top, stove, water, fridge, and everything in that rig. The weekender build is "mid teens" with just bench, power, and top. I would love to know how GTRV does the swivel seat. Not sure what people this the depreciation of conversion work is? I'd guess 50%; probably RB50 layout holds its value a bit better.
I'm looking seriously at doing a micro camper off a Sienna. However, the problem I've seen with the GTRV Westy layout is the bed is 41"x74" and the bunk is 36"x68". Pretty far from the RB50 bed of 53"x72". So I guess if you have a family of 3 and all weigh in below 100 lbs and under 5'5" maybe it works great. For my amazon wife and my fat belly we need a bed 48"x76".
