SMB Inventory of Used Vehicles Seems to be Down

I think this is a good thing. SMB West is down to about 15 used vehicles from what seemed like 40 or so earlier. Either they have stopped accepting new listings, or things are starting to move.

It's possible that the listing fee is too steep on top of (possibly) having to take a hit on the resale due to the economy.

At SMB TX last week, the used inventory seemed about the same.... BUT they are busy building new. Seems like the staff level is back up and every bay was busy.

I dropped my van off 2 weeks ago and they were pack building new ones for sure.I tried to buy a used one like so many other people....but the banks will not work with you. I figure I will keep mine and dump some $$$$$ into it....it beat the 118k for a new one.

Hmmm, maybe it's just suspicious mind, but everytime I count the used rigs for sale on SMB West, it's still at 15. There are clearly some rigs there that weren't before, but maybe they are limiting the list to 15 so as not to scare new buyers.

Funny thing about SMB Texas is that they don't seem to know what they do and don't have for sale. I have called and emailed them several times about 2 vans that are showing up as available. Both of them are maybe taken, or then again maybe not.... I was told I'd be contacted if they weren't sold but they are still showing up. Hmm, hard to figure out.

SMB Texas also could not tell me if they could still do a PH top for an pre-Sprinter Dodge van. A single call to SMB West and I had the answer from the receptionist! Which if anyone else is interested is: no. The molds were destroyed.
