Ever since I saw this in person a couple years ago it has been one of my favorites! The interior build was fantastic and fun and the mechanical side seemed very solid. Just has a great look IMO.

It's Kool! It's Nostalgic!

At the end of the day is still a 40 year old VAN that drives bad at best do the 4WD conversion, is not very comfortable and is really only good for a short weekend trip. It's going to break as all old vehicles do and that is always at the worst time.

At the current $30K bid price you will have Much More Use, Much More Comfort and a Much Better Driving Experience with a modern 4WD Sportsmobile van.

Kool and Nostalgic only go so far!

All depends on the buyers mechanical knowledge. I bought mine and put a remote oil filter and cooler. Removed the power assist and put a power steering box in. As far as the front axle and rear, they are very simple. Ball joints easy, bearings are easy. No abs problems and upgradeable parts galore. Probably a gear drive, transfer case which are indestructible. $20k to $22k any pos today is 20k.

Sad but completely accurate! I had 2 snub nose econolines back in the day and could not believe how much of an upgrade the 75 to 91 model was and the 92 to 14 was that much even better.

I agree this is really cool and has great presence, but I also agree with the above sentiments how sometimes the nostalgia of driving an old vehicle can wear thin after awhile.

And this is coming from someone planning to do a 3 week drive in a 1972 Triumph GT6 from Philadelphia to Nova Scotia later this year. I also assume that by the time I get home I won't want to look at that car for awhile, let along sit in it...
