Too good to be true ??

No affiliation at all.

http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/ctd/3210361942.html

I'm in the very early stages of considering a build and found this ad while surfing.

Unfortunately... I'm not that ready yet.

Re: Too good to be true ??

Priced a little high @$14k. For comparison I bought my 2006 XLT with 70k miles for $12k. I also had access to the complete service records.

Diesel's are hard to find. These have barn doors. Tow package would be nice since you get 4.10 gear ratio which is better for 4X4 conversions. Worth a look.

Re: Too good to be true ??

Thanks Tapatio - that's a good reference point.

As many were - I'm in the very early planning stages and hoping to find a low mileage great condition EB350 with a 7.3 Powerstroke...

BTW - I could swear that the ad I linked to was for 7.3 trucks - hence the "too good to be true" topic.

Either something changed or middle age is really creeping in.

Re: Too good to be true ??

I don't see why it would be too good to be true.

6.0 and not a 7.3, unknown miles, 2wd. Am I missing something?

Too good to be true ??

Yea... My mistake.

I could swear that that listing - when I first saw it - was for 7.3s.

Sorry about that.

No worries.

I'm in a similar boat.

Considering building vs buying a used one.

However, I've yet to see how there would be a cost benefit of building on your own vs buying a used one that has everything you want already.

Re: Too good to be true ??

It could be a valuable sale site, but advertisements like that make me very leery about making a purchase from those kinds of dealers.
