Used aluminess rear bumper - $3k?

Seems pricy to me.

https://sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/...747008013.html

I priced it online and a new one is $3650, so $650 off needing paint seems expensive. But they are almost never available used, so go figure.

I also noticed on the aluminess website that they are moving to square tubing for added strength.

FYI- I have no affiliation with this sale. I might offer something around $2k though.

seems way overpriced, especially if the bike rack doesn't interest you. Would be cheaper to buy a brand new one...

No affiliation, but if you could haggle even a little bit with the guy it could be a pretty decent deal.

I am getting $3,910 when priced new:

Aluminess Bumper w/ bike rack - $2,950
Aluminess Fuel Locker box - $295
Aluminess Expedition kit - $225
2xThule UpRide racks - $440

"Needs Paint/Powdercoat" is a YMMV type of thing. Some might be happy with just some rattle can paint to cover up any bare spots.

Now if you don't need/want the bike racks, open box, expedition kit then yeah you can definitely get a new bumper cheaper.

But if you could get it for $2,900, then you are saving $1000 bucks and that is pretty good as far as Aluminess stuff is concerned.

All of this is armchair advice of course. I am not anywhere near this thing and it could be a total wreck when someone sees it in person.

Don't forget, no tax if you're buying secondhand.
