How good of a deal is this? How much is a new engine if that goes?

Any local SMB forum members out there I could pay to inspect it for me? ツ

IMHO, that's a good enough deal that it's probably sold (or pending sale) by now.

(Hehe, watch out for the quick purchasing of solid deals on V10 and 7.3L rigs by other seasoned forum members... )

Forum members carringb, jsweezy, bbasso could probably all speak to the R/R cost for a V10.

Hey, don't let me discourage you for even a minute! Ya never know how long a good deal will last, I was just venturing my personal humble opinion.

You could still land that fish!

Seriously, you've got to chase potential Sportsmobile deals like a bargain property hunter chases foreclosures in Southern California....hesitate not.

Side note *a friend of mine hauls a trailer full of motorcycles everywhere and has 350k on his v10 e350. 2 spot put spark plugs and one set of exhaust manifold studs. Other than that, it's only been maintenance. For the record, I've driven with him and he drives the wheels off that thing!

There's not reason that should need a new motor if scheduled maintenance has been done.

Mine is makes quite a bit more power than stock, I run it 5,000+ RPM for pulls, and I'm close to 25,000 pounds total at times. And over half my miles are towing, and many of those not on pavement. At 450,000 miles, I'm not in the slightest worried about the powertrain. It's actually the body stuff (hinges, power accessories, body seams etc) that are a more pressing concern.

That said, if you did have to do the motor, they run a little over $2,000 for a reman with a warranty, and book time to swap is 19 hours. Add a few for custom bumpers and lights if applicable.

I'd say it's a 25k van. Why? It's a really unusual color but if that's your thing......

Also, that's a lot of miles for an SMB. I, like CarringB, love v10s and don't think the engine is likely worn out, but that's still a lot of miles for an SMB and it's getting towards 20 years old.

Also, a 2000 Quigley with 200k needs some love. That love is best brought to you by Agile Offroad.

The asking price seems legit, and it seems like with a bit of negotiating it would be a great 25k SMB. You could name it Barney......or Gilbert Grape.........or.....

Haha YES! Love the color-influenced names....

With that color and that thirsty V10, I'd be inclined to possibly name it the "Purple Petrol Eater"....
