Very unique CLARION 23'

To bad its front wheel drive, would be very cool with a 4x4 conversion.
Not Mine.

Re: Very unique CLARION 23'

So that's a different way to do it: take a 4x4 Ford and make it into a 4x2 FWD Ford!

Cool van, though.

Classy rig, but I doubt it's "front wheel drive"

Re: Very unique CLARION 23'

Its says front wheel drive and if they did use a tcase to do it then all you would need is a lift and put a rear axel under it. oh and hook up the linkage to the tcase. But with the way its sits it might have the front drive from a car.

Re: Very unique CLARION 23'

Says that they built it on an F-series chassis, removing the RWD and reworking the front axle to make it FWD.

"Coachmen developed this motor home using a 4 x 4 Ford F-250 truck for the foundation. The chassis conversion removed the rear drive components to allow a sleek low profile look which also adds to great handling. [...] The 4 wheel drive transaxle was converted to FWD only by Allison transmission"

Really? It's so low. They really packed it in.
I stand corrected, sirs.
And just did a little reading. FWD lowers the floor in the back.

Re: Very unique CLARION 23'

I just found this. It's hilarious. It's pretty informative about how they built these, but my computer's sound isn't working so I watched it with no sound. In the beginning I was, and still am actually, wondering what in the hell is going on. It's pretty funny with the sound off. Enjoy.
