WTB RB50 5.4 gas 250/350

Hi, reaching out to those might know someone who might be on the fence about selling a RB50 5.4 gas rig 2 or 4 wheel drive, ultimately I want it to be 4 wheel drive. I check most of the online sights daily. Thanks

Are you open to something like a pleasure way traverse? Is it the floorplan you want or something more specific? Also, what is your budget?

Ya know that's actually not a bad idea. Initially I had plans for a EB with a V10 and had stopped looking at the GTRV's. Money that I had planned for my dream machine had to be repurposed so I'm economizing and my budget is $45k. Any idea how the headroom and upper bunk compares to a SMB? Thanks.

I have checked out a couple. Because of the V shape, head room at the front of the bed is better than the rear. However, the bed is narrower. If it were 2 adults and 2 kids, kids definitely go up there. The lower bed is bigger than the SMB 50 bed by about 6".

You can easily find nice traverses around $20-25k leaving lots of budget for 4x4 conversion. The last nice 50 I saw sell was 2wd with 100k miles on the SMB website and sold for $35k.

With the 50 layout, there is less benefit to the full SMB pop top because you only stand in the middle of the van. SMB for sure feels roomier, but if you aren't living in it, I would rather save the money.

Thank's, I'm also planning on also having a couple of kayaks on top any Idea if the top and lift mechanics are designed for a load?

A few members have upgraded the gas lifter struts for exactly that. With the SMB top you'll want a power top if you are going to carry weight like that. The manual top will be too much of a pain to get adjusted properly.
