The former owner of the Yahoo SMB site, sold his SMB and bought one.

You must mean Byron. He has one. It (and he) is all over Expo and social media. I saw it in person at Expo East a couple years back. It's been for sale for awhile too I think. It's mounted on a Dodge truck chassis. Have you contacted him?

Even though I'm not a Jeep fan, I completely agree with your statement. Since I have a wife and a kid, and a dog, I've even toyed with the idea of a 4 door JK for us.

I'm sorry, but WOW, that is ugly. I'm more of a function over form kind of guy, but I'm not sure how much function that even has. Seems like a major change to the handling and center of gravity over stock.

A very different approach, but I'd much rather go with an Ursa Major conversion to a Jeep.

I agree. Looks like the Grapes of Wrath.

I do love the room my van has compared to that Jeep camper. I just can't see that the space is enough to be comfortable. But seeing in person might make a difference. Although the Ursa Major isn't really roomy at all, it's provides a reasonable sleeping space. Charlie56 went the Ursa Major pop top and sold his SMB.
