Your opinion

Hi all,

I have the opportunity to buy a SMB wiith the following attributes:

1998 Ford E250 Sportsmobile, Extended Body, 50 layout, 2wd, 170k miles

Unfortunately I did not see it yet, I need to travel for. But, Let’s say that the van is a general good condition and meet all minimum standard.

What would be the its sale value ?

Worth to mentioning that the van has been used as rental van.

Thanks all for your input.

Bast

You would need to supply more information to have a logical assessment. What engine, maintenance records available?, what is the Van equipped with (Solar, Heater, shower, aluminuss bumpers, etc).

Thanks.

Please find. The engine is a V8, maintenance should be good and regular. Fully Equiped like most of the 50 layout (i.e. burner, fridger, etc.) no solor, no shower, no heater, black bumper.

Sorry I really do not have a lot of details for now and try to have a ballpark idea for running some discussion.

thanks

Also what is the asking price? East coast or west coast van? East coast may have more rust?

At least $25k unless they don't know anything about the market. The last EB 50 layout I saw on here had 169,000 miles and sold for $25k. Sold almost immediately too.

So I would think $25k is fair (assuming the condition is good and no rust). Anything under that is better, and anything over that is worse, but probably still possible.

$25k for a 1998 2WD with 170k miles? Even in Oregon I don’t think so.

I wish if were so, as I have a nice 1998 with only 115,000 miles we can talk about.

As far as I understand there is no rust. It has the penthouse also. I will gather more information about it tomorrow.

Any specific question (outside of normal) thatI need to ask?

thanks

Thanks. Which floor do you have? Any recommendation to pay attention with the 1998 model based on your experience?

thanks
