2009 E350 SMB 6.0 Block Heater Plug Location

Gday All,

Its going to be chilly on the Eastern Seaboard the next couple days, and for the life of me cant find the 110ac plug for the block heater on the 6.0 Pwerstroke.

Any ideas where this is? Supposed to be under the bumper on the stock E350, but cant find it with the Aluminess.

Appreciate any help.

Garage
Mine comes down right in the center, and just behind the aluminess front bumper - looks just like the male end of a black extension cord (with a black cap on it to protect the prongs). The wire heads directly left following the back of the radiator, then disappears into a bundle of other wires.

Take a flashlight and look everywhere under the front of the van. It could have been zip tied up anywhere. As mentioned, just look for the male end of an extension cord.

You should be able to see where it is plugged into the block (on the passenger side), and from memory, it has a silver fairly heavy duty heat shield that goes over the cable. I can see mine from the passenger side wheel well, and you should be able to trace the wire forward to find the plug. Make sure you test it before you need it, mine needs to be replaced.

Found it, was behind the bumper, thanks for the assists.

How do you test if it works? I tried to listen for it, but it's blowing 30 kt out so kinda loud. I suppose I could shoot the block with an IR gun after a bit?
