FYI: I just ran across this, I have no idea how credible this guy is, but I watched part 1 and 2 of this video, and he makes a lot of sense to me. He seems tuned in to these engines, especially the van chassis installations.
Re: 6.0 The Nightmare; Trials & Tribulations of the 6-Liter
Thanks David! Bill Hewitt's Powerstrokehelp has a wealth of information on how these beasts operate, and how to maintain them correctly. It finally explains the bypass filter info in a concise and understandable fashion.

Wow, great "youtube video" on the 6.0L powerstroke, 2006 specifically. (www.powerstrokehelp.com) Helps with our decision to buy a 2006 PS. Will add avatar and vehicle info once one is finally purchased. We lost the first deal, outbid or slower funding than someone else at "Desert Autoplex." Hopefully they will give us our deposit back! Going through private party and it is much saner, not as many games to worry about.

I've watched all of his videos, and I've learned a lot! He now offers a video training library that may come in handy if anyone decides to take on engine repairs themselves.
