I'll bet you already have 4.10 gears in your Quigley.
Does anyone here have 3.55 gears in their Quigley?
I've only seen a couple without 4.10s.

I have 3.55's :/ not very impressed with them. For towing anyways. For flat highway driving with no load they do great. But I don't do a lot of that.

Re: 7.3 and Hills
I confirmed I have 3.55 gears. This maybe the problem. Need to decide what next.

TexGx: Again, I may be interested in your front differential 3.55 ring and pinion

Re: 7.3 and Hills
E350,
I will keep that in mind. I am thinking I will let it be now and address when or if I have a problem. It will be cooling off soon and be less of an issue. Not ready to spend that kind of money. I would rather take a trip.

Re: 7.3 and Hills
Be careful. If you are running into EGT issues on a stock tune, chances are your trans temps are getting up there too. #1 killer of diesel 4R100's.

Re: 7.3 and Hills
carringb,
It is funny you mentioned that. I noticed that after I removed my 4000's from in front of my grill and going to a light bar, my trans temps dropped. I have been watching both engine and transmission temps.
After talking to my local guy and someone's option I trust, I am going to keep what I have. The cost was getting too high for the gains. Maybe exhaust and a DP tuner for a start if anything.

Re: 7.3 and Hills
TexGX, was thinking - If you have access to a stock grill, that may be worth a shot to check temps vs using the billet grill.

Most of the billet grills are just add ones to stock... So you could likely remove it and test pretty easily.
